About The Position

Renesas Palm Bay is a semiconductor wafer fabrication, assembly and test operation that produces analog and mixed signal products for high reliability and commercial applications, some of which are unique to the world. The role of Sr. Industrial Engineer is to help Renesas maximize financial performance in the long and short term by providing excellent customer service and high quality at competitive cost through strategic and tactical planning of capacity, loading and process improvement. Communication within Operations and with support functions like Quality, Finance, Supply Chain, IT and Facilities will be an important part of your success in this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • This is an ITAR role - the candidate must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Person.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer MBA or MSIE.
  • Knowledge of FabTime and JMP is a plus.
  • Semiconductor manufacturing background is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage factory loadings, cycle time and inventory levels to satisfy demand and customer requirements.
  • Equipment and labor capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks and evaluate alternatives to optimize capacity.
  • Data analysis to identify trends in performance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead cross functional improvement teams to solve complex problems.
  • Define, align, and monitor both strategic and tactical operational goals for the site in support of business objectives.
  • Establish priorities for process improvement and capital investment based on financial return, capacity needs, and resource constraints.
  • Schedule production activities to ensure productive resource allocation and on time delivery.
  • Establish KPIs and report performance.
  • Own factory planning and scheduling systems, models, and assumptions used for capacity, loading, and cycle time decisions.
