About The Position

Working closely with the Human Resources team, the Sr. HR Technology Analyst II helps translate business objectives into system requirements to optimize processes, improve efficiency and improve the user experience with the system and assists in implementing these changes. The Sr. HR Technology Analyst II will support and streamline HR data, systems and reporting for their assigned HR client groups. Sr. HR Technology Analyst II's at Tandem are also responsible for:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • 7 years’ HRIS/HR system support experience required; Workday experience required.
  • Advanced Report Writer experience required.
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment.
  • Strong computer skills with emphasis on reporting, experience with MS Office and Internet, with a high proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong expertise in Workday configuration, reporting, and business process design.
  • Knowledge on Workday Security to collaborate with Security team for Implementing/Supporting Security
  • Proficiency in Workday Report Writer, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize projects or tasks as they are received.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail as well as critical thinking skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must understand the system development lifecycle process.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with agile project management methodologies is a plus.
  • HR Certificate preferred.
  • API and SQL experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of data integration methods, including APIs, EIBs, and Workday Studio, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as functional product owner and subject matter expert for HR systems and applications aligning to assigned HR client groups.
  • Leads the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday enhancements, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Provides strategic insight on Workday functionality, including HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Talent, Benefits, Learning and Integrations.
  • Partners with HR and business stakeholders to analyze and document system requirements, translating them into effective Workday configurations and integrations.
  • Manages Workday security roles, business processes, and permissions to ensure compliance with SOX and data security standards.
  • Develops and maintains dashboards, reports, and analytics to support HR and business decision-making.
  • Acts as a liaison between HR, IT, and third-party vendors, ensuring efficient issue resolution and enhancement implementation.
  • Oversees and troubleshoots data integrations between Workday and external systems, including third-party vendors and internal applications.
  • Ensures data integrity through regular audits, reconciliations, and proactive system maintenance.
  • Provides training, documentation, and ongoing support to HR and business users on Workday functionality and reporting capabilities.
  • Stays informed on Workday updates, new features, and best practices, proactively identifying opportunities for process and system improvements.
  • Leads or supports Workday implementation projects, including system upgrades, new module deployments, and organizational changes.
  • Participates in Workday user groups, networking, and continuous learning to stay ahead of industry trends and innovations.
  • Leads projects with client-group focus to build a foundation of capabilities that educate and empower client group members with advanced analytic methods and insights.
  • Acts as a business advocate and liaison for various projects involving system delivered employee data.
  • Creates and maintains HR system workflows, editing/updating as required to meet changing program needs.
  • Maintains internal database files and tables and develops custom reports/dashboards to meet the requirements of HR management and staff.
  • Provides mentorship and knowledge transfer to our consulting base.
  • Consults with business end-users regarding issue management, business process design and business optimization.
  • Manages, builds and troubleshoots data integrations between HRIS and external platforms (including other systems, applications and portals used by the organization, and requiring HRIS data); supports API integrations.
  • Performs system/data audits to ensure integrity/quality of stored data; troubleshoots data issues.
  • Proactively identifies and drives continuous improvement through both technical innovations and process improvements to automate complex tasks, minimize manual work, and enable further employee and manager self-service.
  • Trains employees and managers in using HR systems; creates, maintains, and distributes instruction guides; provides technical support to employees and managers.
  • Coordinates with HR system vendors for maintenance, upgrades, modifications, and issues; monitors and responds to all support ticket activity.
  • Generates and maintains reports/dashboards within HR systems for various end users across the Company, serving as a subject matter expert in complex HR system reporting and analytics/business intelligence, supporting the HR department and business on system-based HR metrics and reporting needs.
  • Ensures work is performed in compliance with company policies including Privacy/HIPAA and other regulatory, legal, and safety requirements.
