About The Position

This role manages and executes a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, health and safety, compensation and benefits, training and development, HR policy administration, regulatory compliance, performance management, payroll, HRIS, leave management, and employee programs. The Sr HR Generalist with the HR Director ensures the uniformity and equity of personnel practices, serves as a key communication liaison, and executes continuous improvement initiatives to support the organization’s goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in the following or similar fields: HR, Business Administration/Management, Organization Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Labor Relations or related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ of progressive experience in HR Generalist role
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience reviewing payroll reports, timekeeping or managed leave programs
  • Must know, understand and implement Colorado wage and hour compliance laws.
  • Ensure confidentiality and privacy of sensitive employee information.
  • Ability to build positive business partnerships with departments to identify and resolve HR issues. Solution oriented.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to relate to people in all parts of the plant and organization.
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to lead people through change and adversity. Future focused, thinking ahead & anticipating risks & opportunities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and HRIS (Workday, ADP Workforce Now)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to be present and work from our local office during core hybrid days (Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday) to support team meetings and in-person meetings. (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site HR resource for the Waterpik facility, providing day-to-day support on HR related matters.
  • Manage and execute against a broad base of HR strategy and programs (Goal setting, Engagement Survey, etc) and initiatives aligned with the CHD business strategy.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry in HRIS (Workday) and timekeeping systems for employee status changes, vacation accruals and process payroll activities and timekeeping. Run and analyze HR reports.
  • Oversee recruitment, interviewing, oversite of job requisitions and position dispositioning. Facilitate post-offer onboarding processes and conduct an overview of HR orientation for new hires.
  • Handle HR issues and highly confidential assignments in a timely manner.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and exit interviews. Coordinate and conduct employee separations, conduct exit interviews, and ensure offboarding compliance
  • Advise and support managers and employees on HR policies, guidelines, and procedures; ensure consistent application and recommend improvements as needed. Provide interpretation of policy for management and employees for state compliance; advise/counsel employees and management with the objective of problem prevention and resolution.
  • Administer leave management (FMLA, disability, etc.) in coordination with COE partner and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Identify, propose, and implement HR best practices; leverage expertise and utilize resources to support and promote client group business objectives. Ensure compliance with employment laws and non-discrimination policies.
  • Assist leaders in the performance management and development process. Facilitating and executing compensation and human resource initiatives.
  • Support local site needs such as act as a liaison with security personnel, corporate facilities, and safety as needed. Administer and coordinate workers compensation claims in partnership with Employee Health & Safety.
  • Coordinate and support employee programs (educational assistance, rewards & recognition, referral, etc.). Serve as a communication liaison for company news, organizational announcements in compliance with Colorado law, and other updates as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.
