About The Position

The Sr.HR Generalist supports day-to-day human resources operations in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role works closely with leadership, employees, and HR team members to ensure compliance with labor laws, administer HR programs, and foster a positive workplace culture. The Sr. HR Generalist of Learning and Development will primarily manage key functions related to training program development, training coordination, new employee orientation facilitation, and LMS administration. Additionally, this role will provide support for recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of HR experience, ideally in manufacturing or automotive industry; experience in LMS administration required.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office, HRIS systems, and Oracle HCM LMS highly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and continuously improve our New Hire Orientation Program
  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate course assignments, completions, and reporting.
  • Create, organize, and update training content to meet compliance and skill development needs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs, including technical, safety, and professional development sessions.
  • Partner with department leaders to assess training needs and create targeted development plans.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and provide metrics to leadership on learning initiatives.
  • Ensure all compliance training requirements are met and documented within the LMS system.
  • Coordinate with partners and vendors on scheduling training events.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop job postings and recruitment strategies for production and salaried positions.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates; coordinate offers and pre-employment requirements.
  • Facilitate onboarding process, including new hire orientation and documentation for compliance (I-9’s).
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and workplace concerns.
  • Coach supervisors on conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Maintain personnel records in compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
  • Support compliance with OSHA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, and other applicable laws/regulations.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and maintaining confidentiality of HR information.
  • Support annual performance review process.
  • Support career development initiatives and identify training needs.
  • Maintain training records for safety and compliance programs.
  • Administer benefits enrollment and respond to employee benefit questions.
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate employee records and pay data.
