About The Position

Fanatics — Global leader in licensed sports merch, collectibles & fan culture Fanatics is rewriting what it means to be a modern brand in sports. Across licensed apparel, athlete collaborations, collectibles, live events, and global fan experiences, we're building a world where creativity drives the business — and we're looking for a Senior Graphic Designer who can bring world-class craft, taste, and creative ambition to everything we make, from big brand campaigns to YouTube show packages. This is a role for someone energized by being the force behind beautifully made, high-impact design.

Requirements

  • A craft-obsessed designer with taste, range, and the instinct to push ideas into something iconic.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience designing for brand, advertising, content, fashion, or entertainment.
  • A typography and color nerd - with a mastery of both that's demonstrated across your portfolio.
  • Skill in image creation and manipulation - both in retouching and illustration, with the ability to switch mediums as needed.
  • Extremely strong aesthetic instincts; with a diverse portfolio to prove it.
  • Comfortable working as a one-person design team, owning everything from visual concept to final delivery.
  • Expert across Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Fluent in using AI tools as part of your creative workflow.
  • A genuine passion for sports — and a portfolio that reflects it.
  • A problem-solver who can translate loose ideas into fully formed, beautifully executed design.

Nice To Haves

  • Recommended Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. fine arts, graphic design).
  • Knowledge of, and passion for AI creative tools

Responsibilities

  • Build complete campaign look-and-feels, identity systems, and ownable aesthetics that set the tone for Fanatics in key sports culture moments.
  • Create full identity packages for Fanatics Originals (YouTube series) — title treatments, type systems, show branding, GFX packages, and more.
  • Serve as the team's typographic and color master — shaping design hierarchy, rhythm, nuance, and personality through type and color across multimedia projects.
  • Illustrate, retouch, composite, and craft — moving seamlessly between styles depending on the brief.
  • Concept ideas visually and translate rough thinking into clear, premium design.
  • Use leading AI tools to accelerate exploration, develop references, and expand creative possibilities.
  • Execute across social, digital, OOH, editorial, motion/film and brand systems — whatever the moment demands.
  • Work closely with creative directors, writers, producers, and editors to deliver work that looks incredible and moves the brand forward.
  • Oversee the design output across the broader creative team, providing guidance, critique, and direction to ensure every output meets a high craft bar.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level designers — helping them grow their skills, sharpen their taste, and level up their creative instincts.
