About The Position

TaxGPT, a cutting-edge Silicon Valley-based firm, is revolutionizing the tax consultation space with its AI-driven solutions. With the backing of some of the world's most prominent venture capitalists, we are on an ambitious mission to redefine the tax industry. As we scale, we’re hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer with 5+ years of experience who’s passionate about crafting high-performance, intuitive user interfaces. You’ll collaborate closely with technical leads, product designers, backend engineers, and other team members to deliver polished, performant, and scalable web applications.

Requirements

Proficiency in React frontend development required and at least 3+ years of recent experience. Next.js preferred.
Strong command of TypeScript.
Expertise in performance optimization, browser rendering, and caching strategies.
Proven track record building responsive, accessible (WCAG-compliant) interfaces across devices and browsers.
Hands-on experience with design systems and component libraries, including React Aria Components and TailwindCSS.
Proficient with Figma for interpreting and collaborating on high-fidelity design specs.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, and experience with WebSocket integrations.
Exposure to OpenAI APIs or building interfaces that integrate AI/ML workflows is a significant plus.
Hands-on experience with AI coding tools like Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, and similar tools.
Comfortable with modern development workflows including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing tools such as Jest and Cypress.
Experience contributing in Agile/Scrum environments, participating in sprint planning, and delivering iterative frontend solutions.
Familiarity with backend systems (Python and Django).
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent technical field
3-5 years of hands-on experience in professional front-end development
Highly proactive and comfortable making product decisions independently
Thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a passion for innovation
Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset and leadership capabilities
Ability to identify priorities and remain focused on business goals

Responsibilities

Bring your experience to technical design for best frontend practices, building fast, clean, and reusable code.
Clearly communicate technical ideas, patterns, and architecture.
Consistent experience designing, planning, and executing on frontend feature deliverables.
Identify and determine fair tradeoffs, balancing business requirements and technical implementations.
Translate complex product requirements and UI/UX designs into fully functional web interfaces.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to iterate and ship features quickly.
Conduct code reviews, uphold PR review best practices, and mentor junior frontend developers.
Optimize web performance across browsers and devices for superior user experience.
Ensure high accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
Contribute to UI/UX improvements and help shape the design system for scalable development.
Stay updated with the latest trends in frontend development and AI coding tools, proactively integrating improvements into the workflow.
