Odyssey Systems is recruiting for a Senior FMS Systems Engineer to support the Attack Systems Division, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. WID is part of the ISR/SOF Directorate (AFLCMC/WI), who is responsible for equipping our warfighters to win the fight. The Directorate executes a $22 billion acquisition portfolio developing, producing, testing, modifying, fielding, and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms, and related sub-systems. Responsibilities Duties includ e, but not limited to: Possess the advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered highly skilled in FMS Engineering Management Support. Must work independently and be able to apply procedures. Translate FMS user requirements into system requirements which will be used by the weapon system contractor to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate systems, subsystems, and equipment for deployment. Assist in performing technical/mission analyses of operational requirements, assist in developing system concepts, and perform technological/trade-off study assessments of proposed designs. Assist with processes for drafting project documentation including, SOOs and SOWs, program plans, schedules, and presentations. Assist in drafting regulatory and statutory documentation to include, but not be limited to, the SEP and life cycle management plan. Assist in reviewing Contractor documents and data and providing comments. Assist test teams in the development of test requirements, and review test plans. Assist in reviewing and analyzing technical proposals or modifications for cost, design feasibility and system compatibility. Assist in supporting and conducting engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life-cycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical/schedule risk assessment, and scheduling trade-off studies. Assist in supporting the evaluation of IMP, IMS, and SEDS engineering cost estimates. Assist in the evaluation of systems test plans (such as systems test plans/test and evaluation master plans) and participate in the conduct of system, subsystem, and component testing. Provide systems/subsystems integration support for the acquisition, development, and verification of systems and equipment. Apply common engineering/scientific principles, processes, and procedures to improve performance and sustainability of existing and future joint service weapon systems. Apply knowledge of Airworthiness Certification Criteria, to aircraft systems and subsystems. Support the acquisition program management of full life cycle requirements, subsystems, and equipment. Support performance of disciplined engineering activities to assure Occupational Safety, Suitability and Effectiveness (OSS&E) for all products.
