About The Position

Roku is looking for an outstanding Sr. Financial Analyst to join the Platform Finance team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager Platform FP&A, this role will play a critical role in providing senior management with an assessment of historical and forward-looking financial performance, including analysis of business performance and trends, risks and opportunities, and communication of business insights. This role will play a key role in Strategic Finance support for the Platform business. Critical to success in this role is the ability to balance competing priorities, navigate a fluid and ambiguous environment and drive projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will possess a strong quantitative background and analytical mindset, advanced modeling abilities and superior attention to detail. This is an individual contributor role based out of New York City. For New York Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $135,000 and 155,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. Requirements

  • 5+ years in corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate strategy — top-tier pedigree expected
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling and Excel; experience with BI/data tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, SQL) a plus
  • Hands-on with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) and motivated to push their use in finance workflows
  • Exceptional communicator - able to distill complex analysis into crisp narratives for senior executives
  • Operates at every altitude: comfortable in board-level strategy and row-level data in the same day
  • High ownership, low ego - no task too small, no problem too ambiguous
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Curious; a constant learner with a relentless drive to acquire knowledge and new skill sets

Nice To Haves

  • Background in tech and/or media strongly preferred
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling and Excel; experience with BI/data tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, SQL) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own reporting packages, including variance analysis (vs. plan, forecast, YoY, QoQ) and executive dashboards that deliver clear, actionable insights on key operational and financial metrics
  • Track and synthesize key Platform metrics; conduct deep dives on anomalies and emerging trends
  • Manage headcount and non-HC OPEX for the Platform business - monitor actuals, maintain forecasts, track hiring trends, support new asks, and flag risks and opportunities
  • Support recurring FP&A processes: forecast submissions, decks, earnings analysis, and OPEX management
  • Partner cross-functionally with Business Unit FP&A and corporate Finance teams, and day-to-day business support
  • Continuously improve reporting processes and analytical infrastructure — leverage AI tools to drive efficiency and scale
