The Opportunity The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to make informed decisions and ensure efficient use of resources. This position provides financial analysis, reporting, and modeling for core products and services and select ancillary products and services that cross multiple business units. Day in the Life Forecasts revenue and costs of assigned products and services on a periodic (e.g., monthly/quarterly) and ad hoc basis. Completes the rollup of the consolidated monthly financial forecast. Compiles monthly financial reports and management reports. Assists with interpreting the results. Prepares monthly product P&Ls for assigned products and services (e.g., look at actual results vs. projected - MOM & YOY, trends, against original ROI, and determine reasons for variances), and determine if corrective action is required and communicate to management, as needed. Performs financial analysis on a monthly basis to identify any variances, determine the reason for such variance, and provide recommendation to eliminate/reduce such variance. Performs margin analysis, research, and projects. Develop pricing analytics and enhance existing price proposal templates. Provides financial guidance to other departments in the creation of ROIs, analyze/document key assumptions used, and prepare executive summaries for presentation to management. Prepares and updates cost of capital assumption for use in ROI, NPV, and IRR on a periodic basis (e.g., annually). Maintains and updates the standard ROI questionnaire. Provides recommendations to management (e.g., opportunities to improve profitability, increase product value, and reduce costs). Acts as finance representative on product launch teams, as needed. Determines and creates finance training for non-financial personnel, as needed. Prepares ad-hoc reports, as needed. Mentors the Financial Analyst. Mentors the accounting team in analyzing and interpreting financial data (e.g., actual vs. budget variances). Trains others in analyzing and interpreting financial data (e.g., KPIs, actual vs. budget variances).
