About The Position

The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting complex financial, statistical, and analytical studies; preparing financial reports and statements for their assigned business unit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance (Master’s Degree or CPA is a plus).
  • Minimum 4 years of finance experience.
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (SAP, MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of accounting practices and procedures and internal controls.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree or CPA is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development of the annual financial and operating plans (Annual, P1, P2)
  • Develops ad hoc analysis, projections, reports and presentations in response to business units requests
  • Tracks and analyzes financial results which are critical to assigned business units performance this may include but is not limited to trade spend, standard cost, labor cost, capital spend, product cost, and P&L.
  • Creates and analyzes standard monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for effective and timely communication of financial results to business leaders.
  • Closes the General Ledger ensuring financial information is recorded accurately, timely and in accordance with GAAP
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules
  • Performs benchmarking and business model analysis
  • Represents Finance on various collaborative cross-functional teams supporting new product development as well as manufacturing and sales initiatives.
