About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to be a key member in
our Deals Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the
fastest growing divisions within Amazon. As a Finance Analyst, you will work
closely with business leaders to develop financial models and analytical
insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into
operational measurements, and identifying paths to improve and scale the overall
deal and approval process through automation. You will also provide modeling
support to Finance Manager and business partners in highly complex deals.

The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles supporting
strategic decision-making through analysis in a rapidly evolving environments.
This role requires a self-starter with modeling skills, a strong attention to
detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has
regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and therefore
requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, this role
requires strong business sense and capability to drive business partnership.

Requirements

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
• Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• 2+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• 2+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

Responsibilities

• Providing financial deal support which includes deal modeling, forecasting and reporting.
• Expanding modeling and reporting automation to enable team ability to scale.
• Execute financial framework and models for new business ideas
• Provide strategic partnership to key business initiatives and investment
• Present financial summary and business insights to Finance Manager and business partners
• Ensure deals meet internal controls for deal pricing and investments
