About The Position

The Senior Financial Aid Advisor position is a pivotal role within the financial aid department, responsible for delivering expert guidance and strategic support to students and their families as they navigate the complexities of financial aid processes. This role is integral in ensuring students have access to the resources necessary to achieve their academic aspirations while maintaining strict adherence to federal, state, and institutional regulations. Key aspects of the role include: Providing strategic counsel and tailored advice to students regarding funding options and financial aid eligibility. Ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and institutional policies to uphold the integrity of financial aid processes. Developing, negotiating, and finalizing comprehensive financial aid plans that align with organizational objectives and accreditation standards. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize financial aid strategies and enhance student outcomes. Contributing to the organization's mission by facilitating access to education through effective financial aid planning. The Senior Financial Aid Advisor will operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, leveraging their expertise to drive operational excellence and foster positive stakeholder relationships. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced education preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of CampusVue database is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in student financial aid programs, with a solid understanding of state and federal regulations, including Title IV.
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with for-profit institutions and familiarity with term-based and non-term-based programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively counsel and support students and families.
  • Proven track record of maintaining compliance and driving operational excellence in financial aid processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance and expert assistance to students and families in navigating the financial aid process.
  • Advise on funding options and assess eligibility for financial aid programs in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
  • Develop, negotiate, and finalize student financial aid plans in alignment with organizational policies and accreditation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Title IV regulations and other relevant financial aid requirements.
  • Counsel students on available financial aid options based on their acceptance and enrollment at CHCP.
  • Assist students with financial aid planning and packaging, addressing any additional matters relevant to their financial aid needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize financial aid processes and enhance operational efficiency.
