About The Position

Responsible for providing financial planning, analysis and reporting for Union Fidelity Corporation a subsidiary of Employers Reassurance Corporation, a heritage GE Company. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may influence work.

Requirements

  • Finance or Accounting degree from an accredited university or college
  • 6 + years of Accounting Finance Experience
  • Experience in accounting/financial reporting/FP&A needed

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the business cycle-multi-year plan, budget, forecasts across various insurance product lines including long-term care, structured settlements, and variable annuities.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure the performance across the business.
  • Analyze the performance, investigate variances, and report out for internal management purposes to include functional rollup of results.
  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise with accounting, financial reporting and/or FP&A.
  • May be asked to lead functional projects within the business as necessary.
  • Ability to communicate difficult concepts and may influence others' opinions on particular topics.
  • Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives.
  • Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business.
  • Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects.
  • High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function.
  • Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
  • Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations.
  • Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
