About The Position

T-Mobile is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Field Technician to support and strengthen our network operations in the Eastern Georgia Shore corridor. This role serves as a technical leader in the field — driving network performance, leading outage resolution efforts, and mentoring the next generation of technicians in both technical expertise and operational excellence. The Sr. Field Technician provides advanced support across radio access networks, backhaul, disaster recovery, data services, and location-based services, ensuring our network remains resilient and customer-ready. Success in this role is defined by effective project execution, rapid technical problem-solving, continuous process improvement, and the development of a high-performing field team. This role acts as a technical leader supporting network operations and mentoring junior technicians in technical theory and operational discipline. It provides technical direction and support for network performance, outage resolution, and project-related escalations within and outside the immediate team. The role requires advanced understanding of radio access networks, backhaul, disaster recovery, data services, and location-based services. Success is measured by effective project management, technical issue resolution, process improvements, and team development. The work impacts organizational network reliability and customer service through improved operational efficiency and technical expertise. This role covers the Eastern Georgia shore corridor and is essential for maintaining efficient operations and network reliability in Central/Southern Georgia to Northern Florida. This area includes Savannah, GA down to Jacksonville, FL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
  • 4-7 years - Experience in Switch operations and maintenance, with a proven track record of success.
  • 4-7 years - Wireless telecommunications or other related experience.
  • Radio Frequency Engineering (Required)
  • Ericsson Mini-link Microwave Equipment experience (Required)
  • Electronics (Required)
  • Expert operational knowledge and theory of all interconnecting circuits to include but not limited to RF transmitters, antenna systems, AAV, fiber, microwave radio and AC-DC power systems, and AI.
  • Problem Solving / Troubleshooting - Solves problems using creativity and innovation. (Required)
  • Computer Fluency with ability to use programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and support to improve network performance and resolve outages within and beyond the immediate team
  • Lead key projects and initiatives, guiding junior technicians and reporting progress and challenges effectively
  • Identify and develop process improvements related to maintenance and repair activities, recommending implementation to management
  • Create training materials and facilitate training sessions to maintain and enhance team technical skills and knowledge
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects assigned by business management as needed
