This position involves performing preventative maintenance, start-ups, and repairs on generators, including automatic transfer switches, diesel, and gaseous engines. The role requires diagnosing and repairing generator set systems and ancillary components in a field environment, performing complex power generation system commissioning and start-ups, and scheduling work for gas, electrical, and commissioning of generator systems. The technician will also work with other manufacturers and trades for project completion, diagnose and repair equipment for gaseous, mechanical, and/or electrical system issues, and ensure conformity to Standard Repair Time. The role acts as a project lead, organizing and directing resources and personnel, and requires interaction with customers in a professional manner. It also involves utilizing Windows-based programs and proprietary diagnostic software.
