Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Electrical Skills Required: Measuring voltage and current for troubleshooting
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
  • Working with PLC programs (uploading, downloading, troubleshooting)
  • Troubleshooting control circuits with components like photo eyes, solenoid valves, and limit switches
  • Mechanical Skills Required: Identifying and replacing worn parts
  • Developing maintenance schedules for equipment
  • Performing lubrication, oiling, and cleaning per maintenance manuals
  • Working with pneumatic circuits (cylinders and solenoid valves)
  • Personal Attributes and Competencies: Self-motivated and self-directed work style
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business demands
  • Understanding of ICARE principles
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working with customers, employees, and suppliers
  • Physical Requirements: 100% standing, bending, lifting, and climbing
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted

Responsibilities

  • Measuring voltage and current accurately and safely. Using this data to troubleshoot circuits
  • Working safely with various voltage systems (460V, 220V, 120V AC and 24V DC)
  • Understanding motor starting circuits and power distribution
  • Adjusting the tension of belts and chains
  • Developing an overall maintenance schedule based on the requirements of each device
  • Analyzing cards and chips and replacing if necessary
  • Troubleshooting network systems
  • Troubleshooting cabling and I/O devices
  • Configuring and troubleshooting IBM-compatible computers
  • Understanding and utilizing ICARE principles to communicate at all levels within the organization
  • Improve quality and efficiency on the production floor
