About The Position

You will be the Sr. Facilities Project Engineer for the SRM Construction and Development. What You Will Be Doing As the Sr. Facilities Project Engineer you will be responsible for leading complex facility projects from concept through construction, ensuring they meet performance, schedule, and cost targets. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Developing and managing detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules. Coordinating cross‑functional teams, including engineering, construction, and procurement. Ensuring compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards. Driving continuous improvement and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle. Communicating progress and technical status to senior leadership and stakeholders. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent experience. -2+ years of related experience - Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting. Additionally, the candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment. Desired skills - Project management experience on large‑scale industrial or manufacturing construction projects. - Proficiency with MS Project, strong Excel analytics. Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical principles. Basic construction skills familiarity with terminology of materials, processes, and trades. - Demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple contractors simultaneously. - Proven track record of implementing robust safety programs and achieving zero‑incident milestones. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical data to senior executives. - Experience with Lockheed Martin facility construction standards or defense‑industry projects. Requirements
