About The Position

As a Sr. Executive Communications Consultant, you'll provide senior-level counsel for a core set of Executives in support of the Company’s overarching narrative framework. This role will partner across Teams to develop Executive communication strategies that reinforce and support high-visibility Enterprise initiatives for internal and external audiences. You'll also own Executive lanes of large, cross-functional communication strategies, connecting Executive communications strategy to enterprise initiatives metrics and delivering measurable impact. Requirements

  • Knowledge of Executive and Enterprise-level communications strategy
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and communication tools; familiarity with emerging digital communication platforms preferred
  • Skilled in message development, verbal and written communications, storytelling, and presentations
  • Ability to influence and advise senior Executives on communication strategies tied to organizational outcomes
  • Ability to translate complex business topics into authentic, human-centered messaging
  • Ability to exercise strategic judgment under pressure, especially during times of crisis or organizational change
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Expert-level experience, expansive and far-reaching knowledge in: Advising Senior Executives and shaping Executive communication strategies that align with business priorities
  • Playing a senior role in Enterprise communication efforts that drive measurable outcomes and reinforce Company reputation
  • Storytelling and message development skills that inspire confidence and clarity
  • Providing strategic counsel during organizational change, transformation, and crisis situations
  • Business acumen and ability to connect communication outcomes to organizational goals
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Public Relations and internal communication experience within the Technology sector
  • Preferred: Experience in strategic campaigns, storytelling, and brand positioning within the Technology sector
  • Preferred: Experience supporting executive-level communications, preferably for a CIO or Senior Technology Leader

Responsibilities

  • Within defined corporate narratives and in partnership with senior Team Members, develop and contribute to clear pillars for a core set of Executives, positioning them internally and externally as trusted voices for Southwest. Ensure alignment between Executive messages and broader enterprise priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to identify opportunities to position a core group of Executives across internal, external, and stakeholder channels and shape robust, 360° platforms, connecting business priorities and enterprise goals to key audiences.
  • Serve as trusted strategic communications advisor to a core group of Executives, providing strategic counsel and materials that reinforce the Company’s Purpose, Vision, and Values. (i.e. talking points, scripts, event prep, speeches, stump speech, etc.)
  • Influence the Executive narrative and strategy within cross-functional communication plans for major Company events, announcements, and change initiatives.
  • Assess and refine communication strategies through data, engagement metrics, and sentiment analysis to drive continuous improvement and business impact.
  • Advise key Executives during moments of change or challenge, serving as co-lead on Executive crisis communication strategy and advising Executives on timing, tone, and message discipline.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior Team Members and contribute to thought leadership and Team best practices.
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders.
