About the Team The GTM Platform team manages and supports Workday's various Salesforce platforms. Our core responsibilities include maintaining the security, compliance, architecture, and operational integrity of the Salesforce environment that enables the business. About the Role Seeking a seasoned Senior Salesforce Analyst to act as the backbone of our Salesforce GovCloud (FedRAMP HIGH, IL4, IL5 environment. This isn’t just a "requirements gathering" role; we need a strategic hybrid professional who excels at the intersection of business analysis, release management, managing security and compliance configurations and high-stakes operational support. Given the complexities of GovCloud, you will be responsible for ensuring that our platform remains compliant, scalable, and seamlessly deployed. You will bridge the gap between complex government mission requirements and technical execution.

Requirements

  • Salesforce Ecosystem Expertise: 10+ years of professional experience in the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Security and Compliance: 8+ years of experience with security constraints, including encryption technologies like Salesforce Shield, and managing IP ranges, particularly within Salesforce Government Cloud.
  • 8+ years of experience implementing solutions in environments adhering to CMCC, IL4, and IL5 standards.
  • Deployment and Version Control: 8+ years of experience with automated deployment tools and modern branching strategies (e.g., Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
  • Document and Design: 8+ years of professional experience creating comprehensive documentation, including Process Maps, Data Models, and Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs).
  • Ability to explain technical "blockers" to non-technical government leadership clearly and with poise.
  • Ability to build cross functional relationships with stakeholders
  • Process and workflow mapping, design, and optimization
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator / Advanced Administrator
  • Salesforce Certified Developer/Business Analyst
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder
  • Open to 50% reporting to Pleasanton, CA campus

Responsibilities

  • Business Analysis & Solution Design: Facilitate discovery sessions with stakeholders to translate vague mission needs into crisp User Stories and Acceptance Criteria. Conduct gap analysis between "out-of-the-box" Salesforce features and custom requirements. Ensure all designs adhere to FedRAMP and agency-specific security protocols. Explore AI-powered process mining tools to see how they can automatically create process flows and reveal bottlenecks and process deviations Leverage AI tools to synthesize stakeholder inputs, system behavior and process information into clear problem statements, business requirements and ‘as-is / to-be’ process designs, while validating findings with business partners. Strong Interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Release Management & DevOps Strategy: Lead the end-to-end release lifecycle, moving metadata and data across sandboxes to production. Manage CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Copado, Gearset, or Flosum) specifically within the constraints of a GovCloud environment. Enforce environment refresh strategies and maintain meticulous deployment documentation to meet audit requirements.
  • Operational Support & Governance: Serve as the L1,L2 SMEs for operational support activities on the federal governance platform. Monitor system health, governor limits, and security compliance (Health Check). Own the "Business As Usual" (BAU) roadmap, balancing technical debt with new feature requests.
