Grainger Corporate Services LLC is seeking a Sr. Engineering Business Analyst in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Finance or related field plus 5 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Gather business objectives and user needs using structured elicitation methods such as surveys, interviews, and workshops, and translate this information into measurable system capabilities and structured requirement models that guide product and engineering planning; Examine data from multiple enterprise and operational platforms using SQL and related query techniques to identify patterns, dependencies, and variances across systems including AWS S3, Snowflake, Salesforce, STEP, SAP, and SQL Server, and apply these insights to shape data driven decisions; Evaluate API specifications, integration patterns, and system interfaces by analyzing integration mechanisms including Kafka topics, EDX integrations, BODS jobs, stored procedures, and file based or database level interfaces to define integration requirements and technical constraints needed for designing workable system connections; Analyze system functionality, data relationships, and platform behaviors across enterprise systems by developing technical analysis diagrams such as data flow diagrams, data models, and interface analysis artifacts to establish detailed system specifications that support engineering design and implementation.
