The Sr Engineer - Transmission Line (Large Load Integration) develops and/or leads teams in studies, plans, criteria, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, performance assessments, integrated systems analysis, cost estimates, budgets, associated with the planning, design, maintenance of Exelon's transmission facilities/systems. Provides consultation and recommendations to the Company within and to other business units and/or customers as a result of studying company or customer-owned systems, processes, equipment, vehicles or facilities. Provides technical expertise to strategic, legislative and operational decisions. Participates in creating, updating, and applying internal/industry standards and technology in a specialized area of expertise. Trains and mentors others. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. Transmission Line Engineer is responsible for developing complete and constructible scopes of work for high‑voltage transmission line projects in support of COMED's capital and reliability programs. This role ensures transmission projects are well‑defined, standards‑compliant, and execution‑ready prior to detailed engineering. The position works closely with Planning, Substation Engineering, Environmental, Real Estate, and Construction Experience with new transmission line construction, rehabilitation, and relocations across varied terrain, including elevation changes and constrained urban alley environments Experience delivering projects ranging in scope from short segments of several structures to corridors exceeding 10 miles Experience with a wide range of transmission structures, including monopoles, lattice towers, and guyed structures
