The Contact Center Shared Technology team in Claims and Shared Services is looking for an experienced technical expert who will be responsible for supporting the availability and performance of our Genesys Cloud and other Contact Center facing systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join an amazing high performing team at Nationwide IT with flexible work options including remote. You will play a key role in supporting innovative solutions to help deliver exceptional customer experience. As part of this team, you will be responsible for: Proactively monitoring the user experience, responding to production incidents, participating in postmortems and working in conjunction with build lines to prevent recurrence of known problems. Help diagnose availability, latency and performance issues. Collaborate with build teams for improvements in code and configuration to achieve service level objectives more efficiently. Support Nationwide services in production as part of an on-call rotation. Work to ensure reliable interactions between Nationwide systems and Software as a Service (SaaS) providers through engineering and relationship management. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications. In this capacity, you’ll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document and maintain applications.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
  • Two or more years of analysis and technology experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to tackle moderately sophisticated business and development problems.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities
