Sr. Engineer, IT Data Services
About The Position
Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and related technologies. Perform database migrations across environments and data centers. Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues promptly to minimize downtime during major incidents. Perform capacity planning and participate in disaster recovery drills. Collaborate with the Global team or Solution Architect on system or architectural changes to improve automation, performance, high availability, and scalability. Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline on-premises database operations. Deep knowledge of industry-standard, enterprise-class best practices for managing large database environments. Thorough understanding of high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and storage technologies, including data replication.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of industry-standard, enterprise-class best practices for managing large database environments
- Thorough understanding of high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and storage technologies, including data replication
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience with large Oracle database environments across various DB technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
Nice To Haves
- Experience with additional databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and InfluxDB
- Experience with database backups/restores using backup systems such as Cohesity or similar
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Splunk
