About The Position

Polaris Industries, Inc. seeks Sr. Engineer, Electrical Systems in Wyoming, MN. Support the Chief Connected Engineer in connected vehicle initiative technical execution. Translate business and digital design requirements into vehicle-level system integration requirements and documentation in a requirements management tool that accurately reflects the needs and wants of the business while also accounting for the defined system constraints Interfaces, and guide connected component leads as needed to assist with component and module development. Ensure that overall technical execution meets program expectations Interfaces with other internal Polaris Teams as needed to ensure all connected vehicle functionality is compatible. Assist Chief Connected Engineer with road-mapping, competitive assessments and connected strategy development as needed. Oversee end-to-end connected vehicle system validation to ensure technical capabilities and quality metrics are met. Provide oversight of external suppliers and ensure the technical deliverables of the supplier are completed as required. Telecommuting permitted.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related, plus 5 years of experience.
  • In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related, plus 3 years of experience.
  • Required experience must include any amount of experience in all of the following: Design and implementation of electrical control systems.
  • Software and hardware verification and validation, including MIL, SIL, HIL.
  • Vehicle communication network design and industry standard protocols.
  • Connected vehicle architecture, telematics, and over-the-air software reflash.
  • Completing control system DFMEA.
  • Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
  • To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
