Raytheon’s Air Launched Effector Guidance Systems (ALEGS) Department is responsible for the delivery of affordable and innovative electrical products. The ALEGS Department is currently hiring a Sr. Electrical Engineer - Effector Guidance System position in Tucson, AZ to drive program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle. Providing resources to drive development and sustainment activities of airborne electrical products. Our multi-disciplined teams manage a variety of engineering projects while maintaining a work life balance.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience
  • Experience with any of the following: RF, analog, digital, and / or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and / or digital signal processing.
  • Electronics circuit troubleshooting and/or failure investigation
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Interim Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a full Secret Clearance after start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing electrical engineering design of CCA, or electronic subsystem; including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and production/supplier/sub-tier supplier support of test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, printed circuit board fabrication, circuit card assembly processes and related industry specifications.
  • Experience with electrical engineering design tools such as: Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), Advanced Design System (ADS),
  • Experience with electronics test equipment such as: Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, network analyzer, and Spectrum Analyzer.
  • Test problem investigation experience
  • Experience in applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements.
  • Experience in resolving production issues and oversight of suppliers and sub-tier suppliers.
  • Technical writing and formal presentation experience
  • Leadership of small technical teams, including technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support.
  • Ability to perform work with autonomy and little oversight

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.
