About The Position

We seek a Sr. Electrification Calibration Release Engineer based out of our office at 2151 E. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, IN 46902. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Job duties include design, develop, document, verify, validate, and calibrate Automotive Software Architecture and Function Algorithms related to High Voltage Inverters and other Vehicle Electrification component Diagnostic & Control modules to meet customer, internal, and regulatory requirement in a fast-paced start-up like environment within a Fortune 500 Organization. Perform Software Controls calibration. Follow established methods and own overall calibrations for Electrification Software and performing data acquisition on Low Voltage & High Voltage benches/vehicles, analysis of data, and applying data analysis results back into the module for algorithm improvement, robustness, & calibration. Work with a cross-disciplinary and cross- functional Teams to develop requirements, definitions, and algorithms for High Voltage Inverters and other Vehicle Electrification components. Apply High Voltage Inverters and other Vehicle Electrification components and Electrification knowledge to accelerate the development of Electrification Software algorithms, while bringing out-of-box thinking to the Team. Work with the Application Team and support/facilitate test trips, while adhering to tight Project timelines. Interface and co-ordinate with Software and IT&V engineering to support development and debugging for the releases. Participate in ECU design reviews with internal cross-functional engineering group, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Electrical, Computer, or Automotive Engineering or Physics and 36 months of experience in job offered or related
  • experience with vehicle embedded systems and functions on High Voltage Inverters and other Vehicle Electrification components products
  • experience with Powertrain and/or Vehicle System calibrations
  • experience with data acquisition and calibration using tools like CRETA, INCA, v-SPY, Vector CANdela
  • experience with INCA, Matlab / Simulink
  • experience with automotive systems engineering and software development processes using the V-Model for both design and verification/validation activities
  • experience with high voltage traction inverters
  • experience applying DFSS or similar techniques
