GFT is seeking a Sr. Project Manger/Engineer, Electrical to join our Buildings and Places Business Group in Fife, WA ! This role full time on site ( 5 days a week) at our Fife, WA location. You will be doing a combination of the design work as well as managing projects. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years experience in the A/E/C industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCad, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Excellent attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Project Management of a team of engineers/designers to complete electrical design projects.
- Coordinate with other disciplines as required for a successful project.
- Interface with clients and owners.
- Writing project specifications.
- Managing project budgets.
- Meet with clients for the purposes of obtaining future work.
- Design building and site lighting systems.
- Size, coordinate, and specify lighting fixtures and electrical distribution equipment.
- Calculate and analyze electrical loads.
- Perform lighting calculations to ensure adequate light distribution and energy-efficient design.
- Provide design support in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
- Attend meetings with the project team, including architects and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure electrical design complies with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare documentation for permit applications and agency review.
- Perform construction site visits and write field reports.
