Sr Electrical Engineer On-site in Huntsville, AL Target salary range: $90,000 - $120,000.00/Year Active Secret Clearance Required to Start Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate the electrical systems design process from concept to delivery. Review and validate electrical designs to ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to current standards. Develop and maintain technical data packages (TDPs), interface models, as-built documentation, and Preliminary Design Packages (PDPs). Lead structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions and resolve technical issues. Generate and present design change requests, ensuring stakeholder alignment and configuration control of the system design baseline. Identify risks and opportunities related to design activities and implement mitigation or capture strategies. Design and document system-level block diagrams, interconnect/intraconnect, and cable harnesses. Support specification reviews (e.g., System Performance Specs, PIDS, HRS) using DOORS in secure environments. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Clearance: Active Secret security clearance required. Experience: Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience. Core Skills: 2+ years using CAD tools (e.g., Visio, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, NX, Siemens Capital Suites) for drawings and harness designs. Experience in at least two of the following: Electrical/power system design Network communication system design Cable harness fabrication design Electrical load analysis Ability to interpret and translate customer requirements into technical specifications. Experience reviewing schematics, engineering specs, and MIL/COTS part compliance. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and MRP tools (e.g., SAP). Familiarity with Siemens Capital Suites (Logic/Harness) or Visio for cable routing. Prior experience in electronics/payload/C2 system integration. Background in production/manufacturing environments. Understanding of Agile for Hardware workflows. Experience leading small technical teams or projects, including schedule and task planning. Strong background in: Environmental testing, shock & vibration analysis Component engineering and CAD/PLM tool management Proficiency in generating technical documentation including drawings, test plans, and CDRLs. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience.
