About The Position

The Sr. Electrical Assembler is responsible for the Assembly and Soldering of LED light heads, cables and power supplies for a variety of style of lights. The task requires both an electrical understanding and mechanical integration skills. Assembly requires the use of small hand tools that range from manual, power, and pneumatic types. In short, the light line will build up the assembly, test it, and prepare it to be shipped to the final destination where the magic comes together.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ solid years of electrical assembly experience specific to soldering
• Must be able to lift at least 30+ lbs
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a fast pace production/assembly environment
• A demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures
• Advanced soldering ability and experience are highly desired
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment

Responsibilities

• Experience with formal electronics training, including installation tasks, cable dressing, cable tray, conduit, and making or repairing connectors
• Stage, set up, assemble, test and install LED light hardware
• Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, ohmmeters and programming equipment
• Hands on operations of medium and small assemblies that are fragile and delicate
• Read, understand, and interpret drawings and schematics
• Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
• Collaborate with production Engineers to develop and document activities
• Ensure all assembly services are performed on time, safely and in a professional manner
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
