About The Position

Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. As a Sr. DSP Modem Embedded Software Design Engineer, you will participate in all phases of DSP physical layer software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations. Our team tackles all of the layer 1 tasks on the satellite system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or experience with ARM and various DSP ISAs
  • 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5 + Years of DSP Modem experience
  • Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DSP modem development and test
  • PhD in DSP, signal processing, communications systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded software in assembly, C, C++, or other languages in a real-time operating system environment
  • Write software to augment and interact with hardware blocks such as FFT, correlator, codec, etc
  • Write device drivers and system applications for flight operations
  • Work closely with hardware teams to support board bring-up and integration testing
