Tech Capability Development, Senior Director – Tech@Lilly Role Summary The Senior Director, Tech Capability Development is accountable for how Tech@Lilly builds, governs, and sustains technology capability at enterprise scale. This role focuses on clarity of ownership, governance, and impact, positioning GROW as a core people strategy lever that drives development, engagement, and retention across Tech@Lilly. Success in this role is defined by strong decision frameworks, scalable capability systems, and measurable business and people outcomes not individual programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years experience leading enterprise scale capability or talent development in a technology environment.
  • 3+ years establishing governance, ownership models, and decision frameworks.
  • 3+ years managing finances and stakeholder relations.
  • 5+ years leading tech workforce upskilling initiatives across global technology organizations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing, leading, or facilitating multifaceted programs at large scale across multiple geographies.‑faceted programs at large scale across multiple geographies.
  • Strong partnership experience with HR and workforce strategy leaders.
  • Demonstrated success influencing complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Proficiency using generative AI, as well as data and analytics for decision making.
