About The Position

The Senior Director of Supply & Exchange Partnerships will lead the execution of Viant’s supply strategy across the DSP, determining the best paths to engage with publishers and SSPs while championing Viant’s differentiated approach to supply that drives outcomes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep expertise in the supply-side ecosystem, including supply quality, supply path optimization, and inventory and data signals across the adtech and martech landscape. This person will steer the long-term vision, ensuring our supply path optimization (SPO) and identity signals (Viant Household ID) are integrated into the core of our marketplace. You will act as the high-level bridge between the operational teams that execute the day-to-day partner management.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in adtech, martech, or digital media, with at least 3 years focused on supply-side partnerships, inventory management, or publisher-facing roles.
  • Deep knowledge of digital advertising infrastructure including DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, and measurement, with a strong understanding of supply path optimization and inventory quality.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling supply-side partnerships with publishers, SSPs, and technology providers — or managing demand relationships from within an exchange or marketplace environment.
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams on technical integrations, with the ability to navigate system architecture, data flow, and technical tradeoffs.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to evaluate partnership performance and inform strategic decisions.
  • Confident communicator who can synthesize technical and strategic ideas for diverse audiences including executives, clients, and partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and drive accountability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Viant’s supply strategy through direct engagement with publishers, SSPs, and supply-side partners, driving adoption, scale, and measurable outcomes aligned to company goals.
  • Own and grow strategic supply partnerships, including negotiating and structuring agreements, overseeing partner engagement, and driving adoption of Viant’s differentiated supply-side signals such as Lockr for Publishers, IRIS, and Viant Household ID.
  • Monitor partnership health and performance using data-driven analysis, identifying commercial, product, and operational improvement opportunities while resolving escalations in collaboration with technical and operations teams.
  • Identify and advance new strategic opportunities across the publisher ecosystem, including partnerships and technology integrations that expand Viant’s supply footprint and competitive positioning.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Data, Identity, Media Strategy Investment, Operations, Product, and Engineering leadership to translate supply priorities into clear requirements and successful go-to-market execution.
  • Support partner implementation and technical integrations to ensure operational readiness and seamless activation of key initiatives.
  • Champion and evangelize Viant’s clean supply strategy internally and externally, ensuring consistent understanding and communication of our differentiated approach.
  • Drive accountability across cross-functional teams through structured planning, progress tracking, executive reporting, and disciplined execution of supply-related initiatives.
