Position Summary As PGA TOUR Superstore’s, the Senior Director, Supply Chain & Logistics Strategy will be the strategic leader of this function, responsible for shaping future-state network design, transportation strategy, vendor compliance, planning maturity, and data enablement to support growth, improve service levels, and optimize total cost to serve. The position requires strong independent execution, cross-functional leadership, and strategic influence. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to translate long-range business objectives into actionable roadmaps while guiding the organization through complex transformation initiatives. Architect and stand up PGA TOUR Superstore’s first end‑to-end supply chain organization, building the operating model, systems, processes, vendor ecosystem, and talent structure required to support rapid growth in retail stores, omnichannel, and e‑commerce.

Requirements

  • 10–15+ years of experience in supply chain and strong leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated experience creating supply chain and logistics strategy across transportation, network design, planning, and vendor performance and contract negotiation ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supply chain and logistics strategy, including transportation (parcel, LTL, TL), and network optimization.
  • Experience managing 3PL distribution / cross-dock facility.
  • Ability to plan and make business projections 3-5 years into the future.
  • Strong working knowledge of vendor compliance programs, inbound freight management, and cross-dock and/or distribution center operations.
  • Experience leading or supporting SIOP or integrated business planning processes.
  • Familiarity with supply chain systems, EDI transactions, and data and analytics enablement.
  • Highly analytical; critically evaluates information, data, and insights to inform strategic recommendations and business cases.
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with high-level strategic thinking.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence senior leaders and build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Proven people leader with experience developing high-performing teams.

  • Experience in retail or consumer packaged goods (CPG) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate and craft a vision for supply chain and store procurement that reflects PGA TSS’s transformation.
  • Lead change management efforts in supply chain and merchandising strategy, including cross-dock and distribution center network design.
  • Translate strategy into phased roadmaps, business cases, and implementation plans aligned with business priorities.
  • Lead procurement innovation by proactively identifying new solutions, technologies, and market opportunities that drive commercial advantage and operational excellence.
  • Leverage external market intelligence and best practices to inform strategy and unlock incremental value for the business.
  • Define, track, and manage key functional KPIs, using data-driven insights to measure performance, communicate impact, and drive accountability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Finance, Store Operations, and Technology to align supply chain and logistics capabilities with business goals.
  • Lead cost-to-serve analysis, network modeling, and ROI evaluation for supply chain and logistics initiatives.
  • Provide strategic leadership for supply chain systems, data visibility, and EDI enablement across vendors, carriers, and logistics partners.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs across transportation, planning accuracy, and network efficiency.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing supply chain strategy team spanning logistics, planning, vendor operations.
  • Responsible for contract vendor management and evaluating vendor performance.
  • Quantify 3‑, 5‑, 10‑year volume forecasts tied to store growth and omnichannel expansion.
  • Evaluate 3PL vs. owned DC models, hybrid networks, and cost-to-serve implications.
  • Develop End‑to‑End Planning Maturity; Establish owned demand signals beyond merchandising’s buy plan; Implement safety stock, replenishment logic, and SKU segmentation for golf product seasonality.
  • Manage seasonality (spring/fall), long lead times, and global sourcing.
  • Optimize the flow of high‑variety, low‑velocity SKUs (shafts, grips, parts).
  • Optimize inventory levels across stores, distribution centers, and e-commerce through data-driven decision making.
  • Lead enterprise‑wide change to move from manual → digital → optimized processes.
  • Advise senior leadership on supply chain performance, risks and opportunities.
  • Develop a forecasting model tailored to retail seasonality, golf product lifecycle, and promotional cadence.
  • Support special projects and evolving priorities as the organization continues to scale.
