Job Overview The Senior Director, Solutions Consulting leads the Solutions Consulting organization at Rightworks, driving technical excellence and strategic impact across all segments. They also serve as the technical liaison for strategic accounts and is responsible for capturing voice of the customer feedback and translating business requirements into actionable technical requirements that inform product, services, onboarding, and support.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in Solutions Consulting or presales for SaaS/Cloud/Hosting solutions, including 5+ years managing teams.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage executive audiences virtually and in person.
  • Deep technical expertise in cloud architecture, security, integrations, and business process optimization.
  • Proven success in planning and implementing sales strategy, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience collaborating across Sales, Product, Marketing, Services, and Support.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting and tax firm operations and enabling cloud adoption is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop the Solutions Consulting Team
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Solutions Consultants and Managers.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, career development, and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and mutual respect.
  • Strategic Technical Leadership for Key Accounts
  • Serve as the executive technical sponsor for strategic accounts and top pursuits.
  • Guide discovery, solution architecture, product demonstrations, and technical presentations for customers and prospects.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships and driving technical win strategies.
  • Departmental Strategy and Direction
  • Set and execute the strategic direction for the Solutions Consulting department, aligning with company goals and go-to-market priorities.
  • Develop and implement operating mechanisms, best practices, and process improvements.
  • Voice of the Customer & Requirements Translation
  • Build and maintain a robust voice of the customer program.
  • Capture customer feedback and business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for Product, Services, and Support.
  • Ensure closed-loop communication and measurable impact on product and service roadmaps.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Marketing, Services, and Support to deliver seamless customer experiences and drive adoption of Rightworks solutions.
  • Contribute to the evolution of team knowledge sharing and enablement.
