About the Role: We’re looking for a highly seasoned Public Policy/Government Affairs professional to lead our America’s policy work, directly performing or overseeing work with U.S. Federal, U.S. Congressional, U.S. State and Local, Canadian, and LATAM government entities. In this role, you will also manage relationships with a growing network of external stakeholders, including multilateral government organizations, public-private partnerships, and NGO/private partner organizations. You’ll also work collaboratively across internal teams and support our Public Sector and regional Sales and Marketing functions. This is a DC/MD/VA-based role. We anticipate office time/in-person meetings multiple days per week and at least 15% travel requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15+ years experience, including 5+ years of management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in cybersecurity or technology policy or operations at relevant Government agencies.
  • Proven track record of developing or implementing cybersecurity policies.
  • Outstanding writing skills, professionalism, and an aptitude for briefing and public speaking.
  • High degree of endurance and flexibility, with the ability to both lead and follow.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, meet project deadlines, and operate with exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to successfully work across federated teams and across cultures and time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully learn CrowdStrike’s full portfolio of capabilities and effectively advocate for the company.
  • Develop and execute strategies to advance CrowdStrike policy and business objectives across the Americas.
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with government entities, partner organizations, and external stakeholders throughout the Americas region.
  • Manage lobbying efforts in the region and represent CrowdStrike in industry associations.
  • Monitor, analyze, and inform government initiatives, including supporting policies and budgets.
  • Manage various CrowdStrike-supported projects and engagements.
  • Coordinate, staff, and support CrowdStrike principal-level meetings and events.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for these opportunities as necessary, including creating backgrounders, conducting preparatory briefings, and deconflicting schedules.
  • Facilitate quick-turnaround feedback from internal subject matter experts on time-sensitive projects and manage longer-term project delivery.
  • Help distill CrowdStrike policy positions, sometimes regarding highly technical, rapidly-developing issues.
  • Clearly and persuasively communicate these positions to stakeholders.
  • Manage and contribute substantially to Requests for Comment (RFCs) on policy issues.
  • Proactively identify business risks and opportunities related to public policy developments.
  • Partner with and advise internal Legal, Marketing, Technology Strategy, and Public Sector/regional Sales teams.
  • Provide direct support to business opportunities/deals.
  • Assist with other U.S. and international policy-related opportunities and initiatives, as appropriate.
