About The Position

The Sr. Director of Product Management leads the high-end product management team and for Cytek’s high-end product portfolio. This role is also responsible for lifecycle management, demand generation, competitive analysis and strategy, and long-term portfolio growth for the Aurora CS product line. Own and deliver against annual revenue targets for the high-end product portfolio, consistently meeting or exceeding performance goals. Lead the RUO BU marketing team and responsible for upstream marketing for high-end product, which includes voice of customer, Define product specs with R&D, and competitive and technology assessment. It should focus on key scientific applications, customer workflows, suggestion of relevant technology direction to drive business growth. Reporting to leadership the product roadmap and Scientific positioning for high end RUO BU. Lead the RUO BU marketing team and responsible for product marketing for high-end product, which include product positioning and messaging, defining go-to-market strategy, develop value proposition by segment/application, define pricing & packaging, build launch plans and create core content (pitch decks, product narrative).  Partner cross-functionally with Scientific Commercialization, Sales, Customer Education, Field Service, Field Applications, QA/RA, R&D, Operations, and Finance to drive successful global product management marketing of high-end product lines. Collaborate with Sales leadership and develop annual sale forecast and support the execution commercial initiatives aimed at accelerating revenue growth and enabling regions to meet or exceed their targets. Work closely with Scientific Commercialization and Sales to deepen customer engagement and expand product adoption. Provide regular product performance updates, including revenue analysis, pipeline, and key business metrics, to the Leadership team. Develop the strategy, and lifecycle management of Cytek high end RUO product line. Lead, develop, and hold the product management team accountable for delivering strategic direction and cross-functional execution that drives global success across their product portfolios, ensuring excellence across portfolio leadership, lifecycle management, commercialization, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. Product Portfolio Leadership Lead global strategy and execution for the high-end products ensuring competitive positioning and alignment with Cytek’s overall objectives. Oversee lifecycle activities including sustaining engineering, product optimizations, SKU management, and end-of-life planning. Conduct competitive analysis across high-end product performance, pricing, and market messaging. In collaboration with Field Teams, identify unmet needs in flow cytometry analysis and cell sorting operational workflows. In collaboration with Sales and SCT, translate competitive intelligence and market insights into clear and actionable positioning, and Sales enablement content.  Continuously refine product positioning to enhance market adoption, customer value recognition, and satisfaction. Lifecycle Management Drive lifecycle processes including voice-of-customer (VOC), reliability monitoring, field feedback, and iterative product improvements. Coordinate sustaining engineering and operations initiatives for quality enhancement and cost-reduction projects. Lead end-of-life planning, including customer communication and transition pathways. Maintain forecasting and funnel analysis reflecting purchasing metrics and adoption trends for each product line. Commercialization, Demand Generation & Market Development Support commercialization of hardware and software upgrades, workflow improvements, and automation enhancements. Partner with regional teams to monitor funnel performance and drive demand generation activities. Collaborate with Sales, Scientific Commercialization and Global Marketing team to: develop and execute global marketing campaigns emphasizing application driven workflows, and high-end product value propositions. Produce downstream marketing assets, workflow guides, case studies, and sales tools to strengthen product visibility and differentiation. Customer Engagement & Application Expansion Engage closely with Core Labs, SRLs, and immunology researchers to gather workflow insights and understand customer needs and challenges. Collaborate with Scientific Commercialization and Field Application Scientists (FAS) , to establish partnerships with customers and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to generate application notes, best-practice guides, and peer-reviewed publications. Partner with Scientific Commercialization and the local Sales team to lead educational initiatives, including webinars, user group meetings, workshops, and Cytek Days and Core Lab–focused events, that foster a growing, engaged Cytek user community. Collaborate with the Scientific Commercialization team to drive adoption of applications in immune profiling, panel automation, and standardized reagent preparation. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with internal organizations, such as QA/RA, R&D, Operations, and Finance to drive global execution of high-end product lines.  Work with Scientific Commercialization, Bioinformatics and Reagent Marketing teams to ensure that operational workflows, spectral tools, and panel design support are aligned across functions. Develop and deliver sales training programs covering high-end product workflows, immunology applications, Core Lab personas, and competitive differentiation.     REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements below represent knowledge, skill, and/or ability for this role. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Immunology, Bioengineering, or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of product management or commercial experience in life science instrumentation.
  • Strong understanding of flow cytometry workflows, panel design, Core Lab operations, and high-end flow cytometry workflows.
  • Applications experience in immunology genomics, proteomics, and related downstream applications.
  • Deep technical expertise in high-parameter analysis and cell sorting, panel design, and Core Lab environments (SRLs).
  • Proven experience in competitive analysis, including benchmarking, workflow evaluation, pricing strategy, and technology trend identification.
  • Demonstrated success in lifecycle management, downstream marketing, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Familiarity with academic Core Labs, pharmaceutical, and translational research. Deep knowledge of cell analysis and sorting workflows and feature requirements by research user customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and scale product management teams
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM, business, or marketing discipline. Master’s degree, preferred.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence teams and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Customer-centric mindset with capacity to engage Core Lab leaders and KOLs in the field of flow cytometry.
  • Experience with flow cytometry, spectral analysis, cell sorting, or automation is needed
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to travel regularly to company and customer sites, sometimes internationally
