About The Position

URM Stores, Inc. is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Sr. Director Product & Applications to own the strategy, delivery, and operational performance of all business applications supporting Store, Warehouse, and Enterprise platforms across the URM organization. Our Sr. Director Product & Applications will lead product and engineering teams responsible for implementation, support, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of mission-critical retail and supply chain systems. This role ensures technology enables operational excellence across distribution, store operations, and enterprise business functions. This role will be responsible for building strong performing teams, transitioning from a full-time, in-house team to a hybrid blend of full-time, on-premises staff and offshore 3rd party service providers. This role will help oversee and deliver on a transformation across the entire application and team skill landscape, working closely with leaders across the IT and business. Requirements

  • 12+ years leadership experience in enterprise applications, retail technology, or supply chain systems.
  • Proven experience leading both implementation and production support organizations.
  • Deep experience with Manhattan or comparable WMS platforms, TMS, YMS, POS, OMS, and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling high-performing technology teams.
  • Strong leadership presence with proven ability to lead large technology organizations.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex enterprise and operational system implementations.
  • Strong business acumen across supply chain, retail, and enterprise operations.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution.
  • High integrity, accountability, and results orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own full lifecycle accountability for Store, Warehouse, and Enterprise application platforms.
  • Lead product-aligned technology teams across Warehouse, Store, and Enterprise verticals.
  • Define and execute multi-year application strategy aligned to business priorities.
  • Lead implementations and lifecycle support of new WMS and comparable systems, TMS, YMS, POS, OMS, payment platforms, and ERP platforms including NetSuite and Oracle Retail.
  • Ensure stable production operations with strong service levels, uptime, and performance.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams across implementation and application support.
  • Manage vendors, budgets, and strategic technology partnerships.
  • Drive modernization, automation, and continuous improvement across the application landscape.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and data integrity across all application platforms.
  • Collaborative and engaged communication with IT and business leadership.
