About The Position

Reporting to the CVP, Sales, NA Video Security & Access Control, the Sr. Director - Pelco Sales holds a key position that requires a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about security solutions and is highly customer-focused and efficient. Ultimately this individual is responsible for leading and coordinating all sales activities that result in delivering sales and margin target objectives for our Pelco business in North America.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of technical solutions sales or marketing experience.
  • 8+ years leadership experience.
  • Strong Physical security solutions experience.
  • Deep understanding of the Motorola Solutions Inc VS&A category, sales & operations structure.
  • Ability to contribute to the North America VS&A Sales leadership team in developing and executing an effective take to market sales strategy.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to speak towards our products and solutions; technical background to include networking protocols, network equipment configuration.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of leadership and company personnel.
  • Mature judgment and individual initiative.
  • Proven track record of developing staff and maintaining a high standard of employee relations.
  • Development and execution of sales and go-to-market strategies in a highly collaborative environment is imperative.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time management skills are required, and candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel weekly within territory (50%+ of territory travel).

Responsibilities

  • Develop ongoing budget planning, forecasting and reporting on results to show progress against key objectives in growing the business over the assigned team.
  • Build executive-level relationships with potential enterprise end users and drive business through multiple lines of solution sales.
  • Coach and manage team members, setting clear monthly, quarterly and annual business goals, utilizing Salesforce and other business tools to manage and track progress of team members goals.
  • Design, build and execute a comprehensive business practice for the team.
  • Coach and guide the team in developing relationships within potential enterprise end users to generate growth and opportunity for Motorola Solutions.
  • Equip the team with resources to engage with contacts quickly and effectively in a manner that will result in Motorola Solutions differentiation, market leadership, and subject matter expertise that will help close deals.
  • Create a positive work environment and utilize team building skills with direct reports.
  • Create and execute yearly business plans for assigned territory; create and execute staffing plans for assigned territory.
  • Manage pipelines to ensure business opportunity creation and proper management with assigned direct reports.
  • Establish quarterly and annual sales objectives.
  • Work with other Senior Sales Leaders to present ideas and solutions related to current market challenges, new growth strategies, new customer programs, employee incentive programs, compensation programs, and others areas.
