Job Summary: Manages sales and marketing activities of the subsidiary by performing the following duties personally or through supervisors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 10 years’ management experience in a manufacturing environment and 5 plus years’ successful sales experience desired.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients as well as other employees of the organization.
  • Must have excellent presentation skills, ability to apply specific knowledge from Warehouse and Distribution, Intermodal, and Port markets.
  • Knowledge of competitors, extensive knowledge of material handling products including Terminal Trucks.
  • Working independently in the absence of supervision.
  • Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
  • Must be computer literate and able to effectively use Microsoft office business suites.
  • Demonstrate an ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions,correspondence and memos in English.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, assembly drawing, schematics and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
  • Candidate must possess excellent organizational, leadership and management skills.
  • Meet the goals and objectives of the sales department through individual and team efforts as assigned.
  • The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit for extended periods of time.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40#’s.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and squat.
  • Ability to work with arms above head.
  • Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Work environment will include; Indoor office, US/International travel and occasionally working on production floor
  • Required PPE will include; Safety glasses, Steel toed shoes, Earplugs and Work gloves.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
  • Directs hourly and salary staff through training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
  • Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
  • Assigns sales territory to sales representatives.
  • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales.
  • Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
  • Meets with key prospective and current clients.
  • Assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals, liaison between sales department and other sales related units,
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of sales department to conform to budgetary requirements,
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition
  • Recommends or approves budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work
  • Is required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
