Responsibilities

  • Collaborates in the planning, development, and governance of organizational policies and operating practices specific to vehicle production and upfit operations, ensuring full alignment with OEM compliance requirements, regulatory standards, quality systems, and internal control expectations.
  • Oversees the end-to-end design, operation, and continuous improvement of vehicle production and upfit systems, including body, paint, assembly, quality inspection, rework, and final release processes, to ensure safe, compliant, scalable, and repeatable execution.
  • Leads and continuously optimizes manufacturing and operational processes to drive efficiency, throughput, and first-time quality, applying lean manufacturing principles, standard work, takt-based flow, and waste reduction across production lines and support functions.
  • Provides operational leadership and analytical oversight to assess production performance, capacity utilization, quality metrics, cost drivers, and delivery performance, translating data into actionable improvements across manufacturing, paint, quality, logistics, and supply chain operations.
  • Directs the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of short- and long-term operational strategies, including production plans, capacity models, labor strategies, capital investments, budgets, and continuous improvement roadmaps that support profitable growth and OEM commitments.
  • Evaluates operating results across all production and support functions—including inventory levels, storage of goods, material flow, supplier performance, rework, warranty exposure, logistics costs, and throughput—to ensure operational targets, financial objectives, and customer commitments are consistently met.
  • Drives a culture of quality, accountability, and operational discipline, ensuring robust quality management systems, clear ownership at the station level, rapid escalation of issues, structured root cause analysis, and permanent corrective actions to minimize defects, rework, and warranty risk.
  • Guides, develops, and leads cross-functional management teams across production, quality, paint, supply chain, logistics, and engineering, ensuring alignment to operational priorities, consistent execution of standard work, and strong leadership accountability throughout the organization.
  • Oversees capital expenditure planning and asset deployment related to manufacturing equipment, tooling, facilities, and production infrastructure, ensuring investments support throughput improvement, cost reduction, quality enhancement, and long-term scalability of vehicle upfit operations.
  • Ensures effective coordination across supply chain, logistics, and storage operations, optimizing material flow, inbound and outbound logistics, inventory turns, space utilization, and transportation efficiency to support predictable production schedules and on-time delivery.
  • Maintains strict alignment with OEM requirements and audit standards, ensuring production processes, documentation, quality controls, and change management practices meet or exceed OEM compliance expectations while supporting continuous improvement and operational flexibility.
