About The Position

The Sr. Director of S&OP is responsible for the overall health of product inventory. This includes Sales Forecasting and Demand Planning/Purchasing. The focus of the role is to ensure we have the right amount of inventory in the correct location to service our customers without carrying excess inventory or unnecessary shipping costs between warehouses and customers. This position reports to the SVP of Operations.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop an accurate Sales Forecast, in cooperation with the Sales team, that is refined over time to improve accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain statistical and predictive models to forecast future sales performance.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to incorporate market intelligence and business insights into forecasts.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and implement improvements to enhance precision.
  • Meet KPIs for on-time delivery to customers
  • Manage the communication of the Sales Forecast to Demand Planning/Purchasing
  • Ensure the correct quantity of product orders are placed to suppliers to match the Sales Forecast and customer orders
  • Minimize product stock levels while ensuring customer inventory needs are met
  • Work with Sales VPs to identify key skus for “always in stock” products and ensure stock is always available for those key skus
  • Monitor stock levels at each warehouse location to ensure product is in the correct location
  • Analyze open orders to suppliers to ensure the shipments are scheduled to deliver to the proper warehouse to minimize/eliminate the need for warehouse transfers or long distance shipments to customers
  • Lead monthly S&OP meeting with Executive staff and cross functional teams to communicate inventory status, projections, potential issues and corrective actions
  • Cross functional interaction with the warehouses, logistics/sourcing teams (US and Asia)
