About The Position

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving market access strategy across North America, ensuring products achieve optimal coverage and reimbursement. You will lead a team focused on engaging payers, health systems, and other stakeholders, translating complex policies and market insights into actionable strategies that accelerate commercial success. Operating in a remote environment, you will partner closely with commercial, clinical, and cross-functional teams to address reimbursement challenges, educate stakeholders, and support sales and customer engagement. This position offers the opportunity to influence national and regional coverage policies, shape organizational strategy, and make a tangible impact on patient access to critical diagnostics and healthcare solutions. You will be instrumental in building a high-performing team and embedding market access insights into commercial decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience, or Master’s/Ph.D. with 12+ years of relevant experience in health policy, life sciences, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Market Access roles with demonstrated success across payer segments (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid)
  • Proven experience building, leading, and managing high-performing teams
  • Expertise in translating complex reimbursement and coverage landscapes into actionable strategies
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with laboratories, diagnostics, or medical device manufacturers, or background in infectious diseases, women’s health, sexual health, or virology

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a North America market access team to optimize payer engagement and reimbursement outcomes
  • Build and maintain relationships with key payers, health systems, and stakeholders to secure favorable coverage policies
  • Develop deep knowledge of national, regional, and local coverage and reimbursement issues across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
  • Oversee field reimbursement operations, providing education to healthcare providers, lab professionals, office staff, and financial decision-makers
  • Respond to and coordinate coverage and reimbursement support requests from sales teams, ensuring alignment with business priorities
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing training and guidance to cross-functional colleagues on reimbursement policies and strategies
  • Ensure cross-functional coordination to integrate clinical and economic value into coverage strategies and commercial planning
  • Manage team operations to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and impact
