The Global Supply Chain Financial Controller is a senior leader within the Controllership organization responsible for establishing and governing a unified financial control environment across Solventum’s global supply chain. The role ensures accurate, compliant, and standardized financial processes while influencing operational decision‑making through strong business partnership. This position plays a critical role in driving global consistency, leading transformation initiatives, and elevating financial governance across regions. The Controller partners closely with the Global Supply Chain Finance SVP, regional controllers (Americas, EMEA, APAC), manufacturing sites, logistics, procurement, planning, facilities & engineering, strategy and FP&A to deliver insight, reduce risk, and ensure end‑to-end integrity of supply chain financial results. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting
  • 3 years in a supply chain or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in global supply chain operations, financial controls, inventory and cost accounting, regulatory compliance and multinational financial operations.
  • Strong technology orientation: ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), data quality frameworks, and advanced analytics tools (i.e. excel skills, OneStream, AI, etc.)
  • Proven ability to engage with stakeholders at senior leadership level
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Lean, six sigma or similar problem solving or business process improvement certifications is a plus
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in a cross-functional, multicultural and matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
  • Experience leading transformation, standardization, or large scale process redesign initiatives is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Controls & Compliance Establish, standardize, and continuously strengthen internal controls across global supply chain processes, ensuring alignment with Controllership policies, SOX requirements, and regulatory standards. Lead global process harmonization efforts in areas including inventory accounting, cost of goods sold flows, manufacturing variances, logistics costs, and material accounting. Partner with regional controllers to ensure accurate, consistent application of policies and proper interpretation of results worldwide. Oversee global audits of supply chain processes, coordinate remediation plans, and drive sustainable control improvements.
  • Reporting Accuracy & Financial Integrity Ensure timely, accurate, and globally consistent reporting of supply chain financial results, including inventory valuations, reserves, reconciliations, and cost allocations. Establish global reporting standards and analytics frameworks to improve transparency, comparability, and operational insight. Support the interpretation of variances across regions, connecting operational drivers to financial outcomes. Lead annual standard cost change process, working across the organization to execute.
  • Global Standardization & Process Improvement Lead global design and deployment of standardized processes, systems, and policies across all regions and supply chain operations. Champion simplification, automation, and digital transformation initiatives, including ERP standardization, data integrity improvements, and analytics modernization. Evaluate process maturity across regions and coordinate with regional controllers to drive global adoption of best practices. Leverage continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, root‑cause analysis) to eliminate inefficiency and reduce risk.
  • Transformation Leadership Serve as the Controllership lead for major global supply chain transformation programs (network redesign, digital enablement, ERP deployments, etc). Ensure financial governance and control requirements are embedded in program design, execution, and stabilization. Partner with IT, Global Process Owners, and Supply Chain finance leadership to modernize systems and data structures that support financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Stakeholder & Regional Alignment Act as the primary Controllership point of contact for global supply chain financial governance. Maintain a strong dotted‑line partnership with the SVP Finance, Global Supply Chain to ensure operational alignment and improved performance management. Influence regional controllers and regional supply chain finance teams to drive consistency, share best practices, and elevate global standards. Collaborate with internal/external auditors, IT, Compliance, and functional leaders across the enterprise to ensure coordinated governance across the supply chain.
