About The Position

The digital economy knows no borders. From AI and measurement to commerce, streaming, privacy, policy, and creators, the forces shaping our industry have local, regional and global nuances that provide a powerful opportunity for learning and collaboration. That’s why IAB is creating a Global Network Ambassador role: a senior, relationship-driven leader who will serve as the connective tissue between IAB U.S. and our 45 international chapters around the world, helping align strategy, accelerate collaboration, and amplify IAB’s influence worldwide. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the center of a powerful global network working across markets, cultures, and priorities to ensure IAB remains the most connected, credible, and forward-thinking industry voice in digital media and marketing.

Requirements

  • You’re a strategic connector, someone who thrives at the intersection of relationships, ideas, and execution.
  • You have deep experience in digital media, advertising, technology, policy, trade associations, and/or global networks.
  • You’re comfortable operating across cultures, markets, and time zones, with a strong appreciation for regional differences.
  • You excel at building trust with senior leaders and aligning diverse stakeholders around shared goals.
  • You’re a clear, confident communicator who can translate complex industry issues into compelling narratives.
  • You bring a global mindset, strong judgment, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
  • You’re energized by ambiguity and motivated by the opportunity to shape something new and impactful.
  • You recognize that innovation can originate anywhere. There will be times when U.S. models lead and others when they don’t translate. You operate with cultural humility and strategic global awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary bridge between IAB U.S. and international chapters (including the UK, EU, France, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and beyond).
  • Build trusted relationships with global IAB leaders, fostering alignment around shared priorities while respecting regional nuance.
  • Ensure IAB’s U.S. strategies and initiatives are informed by global market realities and vice versa.
  • Create systems and forums for consistent, high-value knowledge sharing across markets.
  • Convene and facilitate global working groups focused on major industry shifts such as AI, measurement, commerce media, streaming, creators, and public policy.
  • Program and lead co-branded global initiatives (e.g., global summits, shared frameworks, joint thought leadership).
  • Streamline communication between IAB U.S. and international partners to ensure a unified voice and reduce duplication or inefficiency.
  • Surface regional challenges and opportunities to help IAB tailor advocacy, standards, and support more effectively.
  • Strengthen IAB’s position as a global thought leader by connecting insights, research, and best practices across markets.
  • Support the global distribution of U.S.-driven research while ensuring international perspectives are shared back with U.S. members.
  • Represent IAB in global forums, conferences, and industry discussions alongside international partners.
  • Help shape narratives that elevate IAB’s role as a trusted, global industry convener.
  • Identify emerging global trends and business opportunities that benefit IAB members operating internationally.
  • Partner with Member Engagement & Development teams to explore global sponsorships, joint offerings, and revenue opportunities tied to thought leadership and initiatives.
  • Develop global member benefits such as shared research access, international working groups, and co-hosted events.
  • Support global chapters by increasing the practical value of being part of the IAB network.
  • Support the harmonization of global industry standards across areas like AI, measurement, commerce media, the creator economy, and privacy.
  • Monitor global regulatory developments and help translate implications across markets.
  • Collaborate with international partners to promote interoperability, transparency, and compliance while enabling innovation.
  • Strengthen IAB’s global policy alignment and advocacy by helping move the industry toward shared positions where applicable.
