Overview The Sr. Director, Global Contracts will be responsible for assisting the General Counsel in handling HireRight’s contracting with customer and distribution partners and supporting a variety of teams across the business. They provide advice and recommendations to executives, management, and team members regarding matters of varying complexity which have or may have a material impact on business activities and operations. This is a hybrid position located at our Corporate Headquarters in Nashville, TN.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to a state bar and in good standing
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a lawyer with commercial, customer-side contracting required
  • Experience handling a high-volume contracting program directed at commercial customers
  • Experience managing a team of lawyers and nonlawyers (domestic and international)
  • Managing employees in other countries
  • Experience implementing an electronic contract lifecycle management system
  • Experience Handling contracts for distribution channels

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry preferred
  • Experience working for a technology, information, or technology- or information-enabled services company preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the global customer-contracting function for the enterprise
  • Manage the domestic and international contract teams of lawyers and non-lawyers
  • Manage our customer-contract lifecycle, including through completing the rollout of our contract lifecycle management software
  • Document processes in policies and procedures
  • Create and track metrics of success
  • Build training and playbooks on contracting-related subjects
  • Execute projects to mitigate other identified contracting weaknesses
  • Adapt to change in our legal environment, including by continually updating our form agreements
  • Negotiate HireRight’s largest customer deals
  • Provide legal advice to internal clients about customer contracts
  • Assist other parts of the legal department on matters with contracting implications
  • Deeply support our group that manages our relationships with applicant-tracking and similar software providers
  • Oversee specific programs as assigned
  • Report regularly on these activities to the General Counsel and, as required, to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Counsel or Chief Executive Officer
