About The Position

East Penn Mfg. is currently seeking a Director of Enterprise Data Management who will be a visionary leader to serve as our Head of Enterprise Data Management. This role goes beyond traditional data management-it's about architecting the future of how data drives decisions, innovation, and growth across the organization. You'll lead a high-performing team, define enterprise-wide data governance, and ensure our data assets are secure, accessible, and actionable.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data management, governance, or analytics leadership
• ITIL Certification required
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Ability to inspire, energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization
• Proven success in developing and implementing enterprise data strategies
• Deep understanding of data architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), and on-premises data lakes
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and data privacy laws
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change
• A high standard in work quality and ability to follow through is a must
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess issues and escalate appropriately for resolution
• Ability to effectively coach and mentor junior staff members

Nice To Haves

• Preferred Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP)

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise data strategy aligned with business goals
• Lead data governance, quality, and compliance initiatives across departments
• Oversee data literacy training and objectives
• Partner with Database Operations team and business units to ensure data is leveraged effectively
• Evaluate and implement modern data platforms, tools, and technologies
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PHI, CUI)
• Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the business as a member of the senior management team
• Manage and mentor a team of report engineers, analysts, and governance specialists
• Perform other duties as required by management
