East Penn Mfg. is currently seeking a Director of Enterprise Data Management who will be a visionary leader to serve as our Head of Enterprise Data Management. This role goes beyond traditional data management—it’s about architecting the future of how data drives decisions, innovation, and growth across the organization. You’ll lead a high-performing team, define enterprise-wide data governance, and ensure our data assets are secure, accessible, and actionable.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data management, governance, or analytics leadership
  • ITIL Certification required
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Ability to inspire, energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization
  • Proven success in developing and implementing enterprise data strategies
  • Deep understanding of data architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), and on-premises data lakes
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and data privacy laws
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change
  • A high standard in work quality and ability to follow through is a must
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess issues and escalate appropriately for resolution
  • Ability to effectively coach and mentor junior staff members

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise data strategy aligned with business goals
  • Lead data governance, quality, and compliance initiatives across departments
  • Oversee data literacy training and objectives
  • Partner with Database Operations team and business units to ensure data is leveraged effectively
  • Evaluate and implement modern data platforms, tools, and technologies
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PHI, CUI)
  • Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the business as a member of the senior management team
  • Manage and mentor a team of report engineers, analysts, and governance specialists
  • Perform other duties as required by management
