Here's what you can expect as a Senior Director, Data Management at DaVita: The Sr. Director, Data Management leads our data strategy and oversees data management functions. They champion data quality, security, and accessibility across our Village. As a key leader, they manage a team of data professionals and collaborate with IT, clinical, operational, and business teammates to support data-driven decision-making, regulatory compliance, and innovation in healthcare delivery and business operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in data management, data architecture, or data solutions delivery

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the data management strategy in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead data management programs to ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across systems and business units.
  • Oversee delivery of innovative data management solutions for customers across Enterprise.
  • Manage a multi-functional team of data professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and innovative culture.
  • Collaborate with analytics, clinical informatics, data platforms, business intelligence, and AI/ML teams to enable advanced analytics and insights for improved patient care, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy and security regulations (e.g. HIPAA, HITECH) and internal security policies.
  • Champion data modernization and adoption of emerging data technologies, including AI initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation for the Data Management function.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure data quality, availability, security, and team performance.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify data needs and prioritize strategic initiatives.
