This role is part of Alcon's Finance, Accounting, & Audit function, a team that advances Alcon's financial strategy and ensures fiscal responsibility as we transform the eye care industry. The Sr. Director, Finance (Management Path), is primarily responsible for leading the preparation and consolidation of statutory financial statements, focusing on impact analysis of new accounting standards and financial performance metrics. You will provide strategic leadership, manage reporting strategies, and drive improvements in financial reporting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Specifics include:

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic financial planning and analysis in partnership with the Global Franchise team, driving upstream strategy and long-range planning initiatives
  • Provide financial leadership and insights to support mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including valuation modeling, due diligence, and integration planning
  • Partner with executive leadership to prepare and deliver high-impact presentations for Quarterly Operating Reviews (OQR) and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) meetings
  • Drive earnings preparation and analysis, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals and investor expectations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to synthesize complex financial data into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Champion continuous improvement in forecasting, budgeting, and performance management processes across global business units
  • Manage an operating budget of $100M, ensuring optimal resource allocation and financial discipline across global initiatives
  • Coach, manage, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering talent growth and building organizational capability.
