About The Position

As Sr. DevOps Engineer III , you’ll support an agile software development team in maintaining the configuration for pipelines, base images, and operating systems supporting a suite web applications and tools. You will operate in an agile Kanban environment executing tasks, troubleshoot issues with the development team, deploy code via Harness, and automate technical tasks to mitigate risks and secure the applications' infrastructure. What you’ll do: You will work as part of an agile software development team enhancing, hardening, and delivering new features for a suite of web applications within a federal agency. You will implement and maintain configuration for pipelines, base images and operating systems supporting web apps. You will respond to and eliminate security vulnerabilities across production and non-prod environments, work with developers and PMs to troubleshoot technical issues, facilitate the deployment of new code to production environments.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability
  • 10 years of experience using and maintaining configuration for tools including Harness or Jenkins, and web applications' base images and operating systems
  • 10 years of experience deploying updates to web applications using Harness or Jenkins pipelines
  • 10 years of experience working with Linux and Windows OS
  • 10 years of experience working in an agile Kanban environment, regularly delivering updates to enhance and harden infrastructure and configuration for web applications.
  • Experience reading/writing code
  • Excellent communications and troubleshooting skills
